CCA Painting Class, Mondays 12-6PM

I'm excited to be finally teaching a painting class at CCA! It will concentrate on oil painting. The CCA Illustration department is growing enough that we needed to add another painting class. Registrations is open. It should be fun.

Artistic Visions of the Golden Gate Bridge group show

SFMOMA Caffe Museo show

I have new paintings on display at SFMOMA's Caffe Museo.  The Show runs from April 19th - May 29th 2012.  Caffe hours are: 10AM-9PM Monday and Thursday, 10 AM -6 PM Friday through Tuesday, and closed on Wednesdays.

2011 Best Public Artworks

I'm happy to announce that two of my installations for Laguna Honda Hospital were named among the "Best Public Artworks in the United States" for 2011 at the Americans for the Arts Convention. The convention was held June 16-19,2011. Both my mosaic murals and bas relief sculptures were awarded this honor.

Hello, I will be giving a lecture about my work at CCA (San Francisco campus) on March 31st at 7PM.

Owen Smith exibition at the Nelson Gallery, UC Davis

There will be museum show of my work at the Richard L. Nelson Gallery on the UC Davis Campus. It will run from March 18 through May 23, 2010. I'll be there for the opening reception March 18, 2010, 5:30- 7:30 PM. I will also be giving a lecture about my work at UC Davis in April. Details to come.

Owen Smith Holiday Speakeasy at Hint Mint House

I'll be in Venice CA on December 18, 2009 for an artist signing. Last year I did a series of holiday tins for Hint Mint. I'll be at their store at 1650 Abbott Kinney Blvd. from 7-10PM. They will have the limited edition tins and some 12" x12" "Tinplate Prints".
